Everyone knows common plastic bags are bad because they don't biodegrade and use tremendous amounts of resources to create. Paper sacks aren't any better, they are just a waste of a good tree. Cheap reusable shopping bags that are now in all the retail chain stores can be rather appealing because of their price, but it's what we don't know about these bags that's a problem too. How long will they last? What exactly are they made of? Were they made responsibly?
